CASA Jungmann for sale in California

Created: 14 December 2022
I’m going to put my 1951 C.A.S.A. Bucker Jungmann up for sale.  It has all of the Krybus mods and less than 400 total time airframe and engine since restoration in 1999.

Here are some photos.  I’ve put a lot into this aircraft including recovering the fuselage and repainting all of the cowling pieces.

I’m now asking $130K.

A young CASA 1131 Jungmann for sale in Spain

Written by: Administrator
Created: 01 September 2022
EC-XGI was built in Albacete by the old masters of La Maestranza de Albacete, so it is a new plane, with all original Bücker parts except for the front cockpit altimeter, every single piece is original. An original unflown fuselage was used and T-88 Structural epoxy adhesive was used for the woodworks. The fabric used is Poly Fiber plus PoliBrush and PoliTak. The engine is a 125-horsepower Tigre G IV A2 that was completely overhauled. The aircraft flew the first flight  in July 2013, having so far accumulated a total of 72h the Engine and 53h the airframe. The aircraft is in flight condition having its  Certificate of Airworthiness is valid for another two years

.

A professional pilot, I started to fly in Spanish air forces before moving to Iberia, the Spanish flag carrier, I have flown Bückers Texan T 6, Caravelle, DC 9, B 727, A320, A 330 and A 340, during my 56 years dedicated to this job, now I work as Flight Instructor for Airbus, training military pilots for the A 330 MRTT.

But when I joined the Air forces in 1966 the first plane I flew was a Bücker…and I decided that this should be the last one as well. Now I have my own Bucker and my brother (who is also Pilot) has another one, we both are above 70s and we want to sell one of them, as we don’t fly that much and having only one we can share the costs.

Three Special Aircraft For Sale

Well known collector and Bücker enthusiast Dr. Andres Katz is reducing the size of his fleet a little and offers three very special aircraft for sale. Please contact Dr. Katz directly for more information at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Bitz Franklin Jungmeister
One of the famous late production Jungmeisters that Carl Bücker and Jack Canary cooperated on in about 1969, this aircraft is thought to be the sole example with a six cylinder Franklin engine. These aircraft were built by Josef Bitz Flugzeugbau at Augsburg/Haunstetten and by Wolf Hirth GmbH. N17RF is a Wolf Hirth example.

Bestmann
One of only two Bestmann in the USA (The other is at Fantasy of Flight), this example is powered by a Walter Minor 4 - III engine which retains the original in-line appearance and provides plenty of power. It is interesting to note that when Richard Epton's LOM 332 powered Bestmann was returned to the Czech Republic, the new owner replaced the LOM with a Walter engine because, he said,  it provided more torque and better performance in this particular aircraft. Most of the surviving Bestmann were built in what was then Czechoslovakia as Z-181.

CASA 1.131 Jungmann
This aircraft is a time capsule. Basically untouched since arriving from Spain obviously a complete restoration will be required, but what a gem this is. Being so complete it really deserves a faithful restoration to its original Spanish configuration.

Parts, parts, and more parts

Written by: Administrator
Created: 21 July 2013

Its amazing that after 80 years, there are still multiple sources of parts for Bucker aircraft, with new ones appearing from time to time. Here are two such sources you should be aware of:

As reported previously, the estate of the late Marcus Bates includes many, many Bucker components obtained from Spain over the years. These are illustrated here. Each picture is labeled with the name of the part(s). Please enquire with Brian Karli This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for prices and availability.

A sample of some of the parts available from the Marcus Bates estate. Several Tigre engines are also available.

The second new source of parts is Air-Res Aviation in Poland. Air-Res even have a web site with an on-line Bucker parts store!
